“Be still, and know that I am God!I will be honored by every nation.I will be honored throughout the world.” (Psalm 46:10 NLT)

In today’s world, it is often difficult to maintain hope and faith amidst the never-ending violence that has shrouded our world in a cloud of toxicity. From the moment we turn on the TV in the morning to the nightly news, all we see is violence from one end of the spectrum to the other. There seems to be no end in sight as the levels of brutality achieve new heights on a daily basis. In times like these, we are prone to questioning God’s motives and ask for a swift end to the pestilence.

All throughout the world, evil appears to have gained the upper hand and secured victory, prompting many to throw in the proverbial white towel. But fear not, it is merely an illusion, the Lord will have the last word as “every knee shall bow to me [Him], and every tongue shall confess to God” (Romans 14:11 KJV). Although “nations are in uproar,” He shall “breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; […] the chariot [will be tossed] in the fire” (Psalm 46:9 KJV).

Our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, vowed never to leave us (Deuteronomy 31:8; Joshua 1:5; Isaiah 41:10; Hebrews 13:5-6; et al.); do not lose hope or faith, and keep your eyes on the prize (Philippians 3:13-14).
